Thinking about CRST Malone
I am thinking about leasing on with CRST malone and I am looking for anyone that has had a good or bad experience. I know things are slow right now but you have to work somewhere. Don't want to pull a van or a tank so flatbedding is me. What do you think?

If I'm not mistaken, I think GMAN pulled for them at one time.
I'm sure GMAN can give ya some useful information.

I leased to them for about 3 years. I felt they were fair with me and had decent rates. Of course, like everyone else, they also had some cheap freight. I spoke with a friend who still work with them a few weeks ago who told me things were pretty slow. You will find that pretty much with everyone right now. I left CRST Malone to go back to running my own authority. There rates should still be about as good as anyone else if you stay in the middle of the country. They have a lot of freight in the Midwest and Southeast. They are a little more laid back than Landstar. I have two friends who also leased to them. One did well and the other didn't. I think it had a lot to do with where they were running. One thing about it, the money is always good. If you have specific questions I would be glad to try and answer them.

I did alot of posting about CRST during the summer. Do a search for CRST Malone and you will find it. I deleted all of the emails that I had at that time. But they are extremely SLOW right now. Based out of Sikeston, MO with a 100 mile radius search I could pull up about 60-70 loads a week. Now guess what that search is? 1-4 a week. BOL

The last few weeks I've spent way more time guarding this company flatbed than making a paycheck.
Still got my sense of humor though. I got rid of a persistant lot lizard last night by telling her I had $500 for her if I could watch her have sex with my German Shepard...

I dont know what Landstar load board is like, but you do have to sign on with CRST to move any of there loads. Here is the link to the load board so you can see where the loads are. Well if you can find any. LOL
Welcome to CRST Cargo Connection: The Transportation Solution I hope this helps. I know that if you sign with them and there is no load for you that you can find your own load and haul it but you have to make sure that they are on one of the approval list. You know for there cut. |
