Thinking about CRST Malone

Yes they do. I think the Landstar board is much easier to use. CH Robinson, Schneider and several others have their own load boards.

my dad runs for them, Im sure your not gonna get huge rates right now, but he hasnt had some bad weeks even recently. He stays in a well defined area, and doesnt take odd ball for a few extra pennies to go just anywhere. He stays busy, watches his pennies and makes a decent living.
BTW, he pulls a sidekit(covered wagon).

I pulled a side kit when I leased to CRST Malone. I rarely had to completely break it down and made decent money when I was with them. Where does your Dad run, steelhauler? How long has he been with them?

He has been leased on about 15 months now. He was a true owner/op with auth, but wanted less headaches(ie...he isnt the paperwork type:lol so he turned his authority back in. He doesnt tear down alot either, but doesnt go where he needs too. He is out of East Tenn, and runs basically north and south thru the house, with some carolinas

steelhauler,
Sounds like your Dad might be doing the Alcoa dedicated deal? I'm told it involves all Alcoa loads for "outbound", then whatever is available for backhaul or at times deadhead back I believe. That might explain why your Dad is staying busier than some other Malone O/O's I have talked to recently. Correct me if I'm wrong. |
