carls corner has been shut down for a while now. they are remodeling the whole thing. concrete parking lot and a new face for side of the building. should be opening pretty soon though. drove past it a few weeks ago and they still had the construction equipment in the lot.

Willie Nelson is supposed to have either bought or invested in Carls, from what I have heard. I think they were among the first to try BioWillie fuel. BioWillie is biodiesel.
There are a couple of old truck stops around Ft. Worth, but I think most of them have been closed down. Steve, you will get the hang of the exits. I often find it easier to remember exit numbers than the name of roads. |
