Default truck stop mechanics........

i recently had a few issues with a few truck stop mechanics.........was wondering has any1(im sure they have) else had issues and if so what was the issue. My issue was i stopped by petro in joplin, and i knew my a/c wasnt working and i asked him to take a look at it...told me my ac compressor was bad and...he came back and told me about 7-800bucks to fix it.....took it elsewhere/to a schneider maintenance shop(they do work on owner operator trucks) was told i just over charged it and he took some freon out and it workd great!!!!!

Like everything else, the buyer has to beware.

Most truck stop mechanics (not all) are only there because no one else will hire them.

I try to go to the truck dealers when I can, at least the management is there to complain to, and the truck dealers really don't want negative publicity, where as the truck stop could care less.
