Trucking & the economy, a year from now
Where do you folks see trucking and the economy a year from now ?

The economy should level out within the next year, but I would not really expect much improvement for another year or two after that.

I am a little optimistic that there will be improvement. I am not expecting a major bounce, but who knows anyway. Even the Psychic Friends Network is having a tough time predicting that one. If it goes the other way and really tanks, we won't be here discussing it anymore anyway.

I expect the economy to be soft through next year. I had hoped that things would have gotten somewhat better by now but since they haven't I think we still haven't seen the bottom yet. With the government interference it is likely to take several years to get the economy where it should be. Taxes are going up which means that everyone will have less money to spend thus holding the economy back. The economy will improve when people begin to spend money.
