Default Used Retail Value...

To look up prices for used cars i got to Kelly Blue Book www.kbb.com but where do you go to look up something like that for class 8 trucks. I was searching ebay for fun and wandered if those prices are fair market value...

any help would be appreciated

See that's the problem, there's so little information out there. The dealers want to keep it that way. Just pick up any truckpaper, there's barely any prices in the dealer ads.

Sad to say but fair market value is what ever an individual is willing to pay. Freightliner Select Trucks has alot of fleet trucks that were leased from them and most likely have been paid for over those lease periods and then some. The price they ask for them in my opinion is high but somebody always buys them.

http://www.trucks.com/ I found it over at the OOIDA forum. You have to pay I think $4 for a report. I did it and it said I paid about $4,000 below average for my truck.
