Default what does your truck weigh?

my whole driving career i've been driving columbia's. never had a issue with wight but they all had detroits. mine has a cat. yesterday i was at a scale of a shipper. 39790 in the box, a rail car and my truck. weight was at 75580.

my truck is a 04 columbia, c15 cat (mbn if it makes a diffrence), 227wb dual exhaust and a 70 condo.

a buddy of mine told me that a 379 is the lightest truck you can buy. my dad's t800 is lighter then mine.

so.. whats yours weigh?

well let me think...don't know exactly because I always tare with a trailer.

1998 T800 w/M11 Cummins, 230" WB, 72" bunk (I think) = 30,000 - 10,700 for trailer weight as reported on the dealer's spec sheet = 19,300 approx
2008 T660 w/ISX Cummins, 244" WB, 72" bunk weighs approx 1,000 more than me.
2005 T2000 w/C15 Cat, 244" WB, weighs approx 2,000 more than me.

almost all of the extra weight is in the engines because it shows up on the steers. The Cat has to have the 5th wheel all the way back all the time.

I drive a 2007 Peterbilt 387 with a Cat C15, 237" (methinks) wheelbase, a ThermoKing TriPac APU, air deflectors, side skirts all the way to the back of the sleeper, 70" high-rise, and dual 100-gallon tanks, and it's somewhere between 17,000 and 18,000lbs. I can't remember whether that's with full tanks or empty tanks. Since I'm 100 miles from it right now, I'll check it when I go back to work Monday.
