What load board do you use?
For the past year we've been using Get Loaded and OOIDA's Members Edge. It's kept us on the road pretty regular. Lately I've been hearing some really bad things about Get Loaded though (they bootleg loads from other boards, delayed information, etc...) and have been told to try out The Internet Truck Stop as it costs the same as Get Loaded but is a more honest company. We'd love to find another dedicated lane or solid contract (the ones we had dried up a couple months back) but until we do, we depend on the boards for work. We check specific companies but find that most of the loads on the individual company boards are also listed on the larger load boards. So what do most of you here use? Any preference or opinions on any of the hundreds of boards out there? Appreciate the info in advance

There are only two loadboards that are worth consideration. ITS and GL. If I had to choose between the two I would pick ITS. You can bookmark directly to the load search page without having to click through a bunch of annoying adframes. The Industry Alert page is available free of charge to basic subscribers. ITS has taken a proactive stance against dishonest brokers and carriers who post on their service. Something That GL doesn't do. Others may have had different results, but I have made some very good long term contacts that originated from posting on ITS. The only good thing about Getloaded is the Industry Discussion Group.

I have to agree that I don't get many loads from calling GL posts and I prefer ITS. I do however seem to get calls from brokers who see my postings on GL.....about once or twice a month I will get a good paying call so I have kept it. Mostly I use the GL message board to check out brokers.
By far, my favourite is DATconnect. It's $130/month though.

Keep in mind though. I did haul a load for one company and got paid on time. They had an "A" rating. It wasn't too long ago they went from A to F almost overnight with more than $65,000 in outstanding invoices. I always read the credit and industry reports released by ITS and find it interesting. When a broker is ready to go out, they go out with a bang and there is no warning. They amass tons of outstanding invoices in less than 2 months and by the time anyone realizes it, they are out of business with a tidy sum and ready to retire in Otumwa Iowa.

I live in Crockett, Tx. I just ran search of a 50 mile radius and came up with a lot of loads. could some of these listed by brokers be Duplicates or even more? Is there a way to tell if it's a broker or shipper for a company.

I've heard a lot of good things about DATconnect. Better paying freight, more direct shippers, etc.
