What are Non IFTA Miles?
Can anyone explain what would be Non IFTA Miles on your return.
From what I can find out it is miles in any jurisdiction that is not in IFTA. Who would that be since IFTA is International? I found it. 5. My tax return is showing Total IFTA miles and Total Non-IFTA miles. What is the difference? All miles traveled on roads in participating IFTA jurisdictions are considered IFTA miles (including Pennsylvania). Non-IFTA miles are miles traveled in jurisdictions that do not participate in the IFTA: Washington D.C., Northwest Territories, Yukon Territory, Alaska and Mexico. Rank, I thought the same thing about toll roads until the IFTA lady called me on the phone and made me pay. She was very nice about it and just had me send my small payment for the few miles I claimed as non-IFTA.

Really. Hmm. I wonder if it's only NY toll roads. Did she make you pay for NY?

Yea she did. Jersey Turnpike and NYS Thruway. She told me how to do it correctly but I forgot because I am getting old. So I don't bother with non-IFTA miles anymore. I cheat and say I bought fuel everywhere I needed to to only pay like $40 bucks. I can't do $0 or they will come after me.
I am out of the truck now anyway. I am leasing/selling the truck to somebody. It has been 6 months. So far so good. He is running his own authority. I miss NY and I am moving back. Have my old job lined up. Grat pay and stability. My old boss said it would be like I never left. Warming words. Enough about me, I figured I would update as I haven't been around much. Back to you guys.
