For those who bought their first truck (not lease/ops), what did you buy??

Im sure some have horror stories and others got excellent stories.

Mine was a Tonka dump truck. Bright yellow and I hauled everything under the sun from one side of my backyard to the other.

My first truck, was the one that I currently own. Kenworth W900l Aerocab...despite my screenname, it's actually white...with all logos, emblems etc. shaved off of it, and the cab extenders/grab handles shaved off as well...she's been good to me, but is currently listed on TruckPaper. 8)

Mine was 1977 International Transtar cabover that I bought new in Jan of 1977, got some old pics somewhere.

It was $42,000 out the door with a 360HP Cat and a 13 speed

I kept it till 1985, and sold it, NEVER did any engine work to it, however I put in a front rear and a trans, it had 800,000 miles on it when I got rid of it.

my first truck that I own is the one in my avatar 2002 T2000, my family has owned a sod farm here in Colorado since the late '60's and has owned many different trucks but the ones I remember most were a late 70's int cabover that my dad drove for awhile, a 79 freightshaker that came out of Canada it had an 8v92 Detroit and was a screamer, also an 85 379 that was a glider kit truck my uncle bought I have no idea what year the truck was originally but it had a white cattipillar and a 15 speed in it.
