I've only ever heard of Ramsey, is he on XM? I usually only listen to Kevin Rutherford. The ones who are supposed to entertain us with stuff that only a trucker would appreciate, I don't appreciate. :smokin: Billy and April!? Are you kidding me! I once heard this truckers' show for women- they were debunking summertime myths- water wings, suntan lotion, blackened barbeque food... No thanks!

Anyway, I've been getting a little do re mi rolling in and I'm feeling better. I torn three ways between investing in my truck, getting out of debt and finishing insulating and remodeling my house.

I pulled the trigger today, $370 for a Turbo 3000! Yep, that's right. Call me a fool, but I'm going with Kevin on this one. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to work. He has pulled those commercials making you think you'll save 10%. If I can pick up 3/10 mpg it'll pay for itself quickly. Now, let's not have this thread get side tracked. If this needs a discussion, start a thread about just what kind of fool you think I am! Anyway, getting back on track, my dispatcher says freight is holding steady. It seems that way to me, I'm still running well. I was also thinking, I'm on track to take weeks at a time off this winter. You know, if freight is down, if there's ice and salt everywhere, hey, I can read books!

Ah yes the magical turdblo 3000 that does nothing:

Here's some pics for you:

BTW, those two pieces, are aluminum.

Still think it does something? It cost less then $10 to make.

I have no doubt most of my money went to their advertising budget and their profits, I was aghast at how little of the "installation kit" they used, an extra $40. In the end, though, you simply have to ask yourself, does it actually work? As I said, I'm just going with Rutherford on this one. I complained about the advertising on his website and it changed, I like to think I had something to do with that- I can figure out ways a lot of things revolve around me, though. I just don't see Kevin selling either his soul or his precious reputation like that.

The rationale I last heard, the motion causes the fuel to move down to the end of the (I forget, something 'rail', I think) better so that every cylinder gets a more even supply of fuel. Bottom line, I can pick up that 3/10mpg (5%) or I can't. But, go ahead if you are certain, call me a dummy. I can live with that.

Dave Ramsey helps people get out of debt and live debt free using Christian principles. I don't know if he is on XM or not. He is on many radio stations across the country. I think he is on WSB in Atlanta if you get through there. I can usually find him about anywhere I go.

Freight is down about everywhere you go. Some carriers are doing better than others. None are doing as well as they wish. I am glad your company's freight is holding steady.

I work my ass off when i`m out, alot of people think I must get crappy rates because I run so hard but its more money for me, since i`m out I might as well do as much as I can in the time i`m allotted, I also pumped alot of the profits back into the business to expand our capabilities and pay off the equipment.

so in a nut shell my strategy is too not do anything because everythings paid for, my wifes an RN with seniority and I could get my job back on an oil rig in about half an hour.

You got ripped off louder than I let one rip. Turdblo 3000s usually cost less than 200.00 with installation. Looks like Kevin Farterford found himself another loyal follower. He is just a snakeoil salesman.

I liked you better when you used poor grammar and talked about your fast truck and gastrointestinal issues. :tears:
