Is this something you can haul?
Would have to break it into 1/4ths, especially have to cut height into about half. Weight would be minimal.
Would end up with 4 loads for a two axle expandable drop deck.
My trailer, 3+3+3, is built to haul weight. It has 30 feet in the well but I have an extra deck section I can put
in to make it 45 feet but what a pain in the ..... that is to do.

It's a Govt. Hellicopter. Do you do any hauling for big brother? Can't cut it in half. It sounded good for you because you where heading that way anyway.

They meant by breakdown is to take off rotor, etc., or take any pieces off that would apply.

2, that's 33,000lbs not 330,000lbs. It's light.

Here's my answer to ressession and Turbo3000:

I'm rebuilding my RTLO-16913 transmission into RTLO-18913 and replacing the 1650 torque clutch with a 1850 torque clutch ... so that I can rerate my CAT C15 from 1,650 lb/ft of torque to 1,850 lb/ft of torque. The tranny work will take 2 to 3 days at a local shop and should cost around Cnd$2,500. Rerating the engine is ... free because I'm keeping the same horse power (475). Cat will only charge me for labour to install the new software driver into the ECM.

200 lb of extra torque is guaranteed to improve my fuel mileage with 40,000 + lb loads in hilly terrain, such as found in WV, NC, CA, BC...

Another benefit of doing this by the end of the year is I'll be able to deduct the entire cost of the repair from my taxable income for 2008

Haul quite a few Abrahams tanks and M88 tank retrievers.
Won't get permitted at 29 1/2 feet high plus the length would have to be some kind of of special trailer to have a deck able to take something 100 feet long.

I hate to rain on your parade, but it was just waste of money. I did it with my old truck from 1650 to 1850, w/o doing anything to tranny. There is plenty of reserve in that 1650 set up....

solo, i haven't done the upgrade yet. i might reconsider yet. have you really not felt any benefit from uprating the torque? i know i noticed the difference when i rerated my cat from 435 hp to 475 hp; and then again - when i had cat pros further tune my fuel settings to get the engine make 500 hp at 1,600 rpm. right now officially my cat is 475 hp 1,650 lb/ft torque but it makes 500 hp after the dyno.

Sorry for misunderstanding. What i meant, is that i upgraded my torque to 1850, w/o doing anything to tranny. Run it about another 400,000 miles, sold the truck at 962,000. As far as i know the guy who i sold it, run another 2-300,000 and sold it wit original tranny, and no problems what so ever...
And yes, it will benefit you. I actually gained about 0.4-.5 mpg.

2 of my trucks have cummins n14+ running 525hp at 1850 torque with the rtlo16-9-13A trans. No problems with either of them ever. One of them has 1,258,000 on the trans. Never a hitch.

In the classic, I uprated the cummins from 430 hp, 1450 torque to the 525hp and 1850 torque. Gets the exact same fuel mileage, but man, what a difference!!!!

I think his empty weight is close to, if not over 80,000.
