$1800! Hot damn!

I did my whole exhaust system for less then $550, and that was Canadian money too!

About half of that is labor. They are charging $107 per hour here. :shock:

I'm guessing that 1800 also included the light unit and the batteries?

They said the exhaust manifold was about $600-$700, and would take about 5-6 hours to install, bringing the total for just that up to about $1200. Add to that the $320 oil change, and you are up to $1520. And I haven't even touched the batteries, the flex hose, or the light.

Whether their numbers are correct or not is beyond me. I don't care; as long as the warranty is covering it, they can charge $18,000 for the work.

hi guys, new user here.
just couldn't resist sharing my own tale of woe. :cry: five miles from my destination, my ddec dies! :shock: five miles from solomons md. middle of nowhere. towed back up to capital beltway to DD shop for five day repair for $3,000.00!! and yes i own the truck and no it's not under warrenty. :x yep, five days no income, five days at a ho-jo's, and five days of going stir crazy! :twisted:

I just got word that Optima is gonna replace the batteries, but they won't cover the labor. The dealership is trying to claim that it will take an hour and a half to replace two batteries. I say "nay nay".

Tell them you will put them in then send them a bill for labor.

that too high for a oil change.140.00 to much.
