Football season!

*shudder* Not that name, John F-ing Blake...................The season that could have been this year for my Heels on the gridiron due to him and his contacts being vultures on these young guys. It's too bad Butch didn't check him out more closely before hiring him. If we make a Bowl game, any Bowl game this year I will call this season a huge success after the way it started and the fact that we are still without our top 2 defensive players on the line who could create total chaos for the O-line.

Oh wow, didn't know that A&M had changed QB's. I was thinking Tannehill was the same QB I watched in the OSU game when it was actually Jerrod Johnson. Seems as thuogh both can sling the ball around, just can't make mistakes with it because OU will make you pay.

Yea, Johnson had thrown a disproportionate amount of INT's to TD's, not to mention his fumbles. Tannehill looked really good last week. They had him out at the wide reciever spot but he has alway's been the backup QB. It's a new week and new game, we'll see.

If OU wins 2 out of their next 3 games we will be darn lucky. That stunk it up at A&M tonight. They have Tech next week at home and then they go on the road to Baylor and OSU.

Look at Texas, under .500 and last in the Big 12 South. The remaining schedule doesn't look very favorable to get above .500 with OSU and A&M around Florida Atlantic. They may not even become Bowl Eligible a season after playing for the National Title...................they are 4-5 currently and need to have 6 wins to be Bowl Eligible.
The Big 12 is starting to look very much like the ACC has the past 3-5 years which is not good news for Big 12 fans. The conference as a whole will be called mediocre when in reality every team is so daggone equal that anyone can beat anyone each week.

Happy night, our first win ever in Doak Campbell. Had control and then nearly threw it away with a bad snap on a punt only to hang on at the end. Bowl Eligible now so it's a great year from where we started. Now we get VT at home where we've always been in the game with them until the last minute. We won't win the divison without some big time help but a win over a surging VT would be huge heading into the final 2 games which are local rivalry games, NC State and Dook.

Well, we know VT can be had. Maybe UNC will have a good day since they are at home.
They are HAMMERING Stoops and his offensive cooridinator Kevin Wilson over the A&M game, the players too. We just REALLY stink right now and their is NO explanation for our atrocious record on the road. Tech at home this week, maybe a feel good game to get us through to Baylor.

How bout them Aggies?!?!? :hellno:  Or how bout the OU offensive coordinator that went brain dead. OU was within the 5 yard line on 3 different possessions, and never saw the light of the end zone. :hellno: Ya know, as much as OU runs the spread offense, there are other plays that you can run besides, 'up the middle'. I just couldn't believe it.
I figured Ok State would have beaten Baylor. I just couldn't imagine Baylor winning 2 straight emotional road games, but I never dreamed it would have been a blow-out. Speaking of the OU/A&M game- I was listening to Arute and Leach last night, and a caller asked Leach about a couple of Aggies that kept getting cramps and what not every time OU had the ball. He asked Leach if that is something they do, or was it coincidental. Leach said, "Yes. A&M did that to slow down OU's hurry up offense, and yes, it works. In case you haven't noticed, OU likes to keep the apposing defense on their heels. The refs don't keep up with who goes in and who goes out, and who has cramps." Then he said, "OU did that to us last year. One of their DB's or Linebackers would cramp up, and our lineman would take a knee and pray, while the trainers carried the kid off the field. A couple plays later that same kid would come back in, and nail our QB in the mouth. Did it every time we had the ball. I finally took a time out and I got my linemen together, and I told them that every time they knelt down and prayed for him, he belted our QB in the mouth when he came back in. I told them to take that SOB out, he's slowing us down." Then Leach said, "So to answer your question, was it on purpose? Does it work? Absolutely. Anytime you see a defensive player go down, when they are driven back, and the offense is kneeling down, praying and a couple plays later, when that DB or Linebacker comes back, the first thing he's going to do is pop that QB in the mouth." I just about died.

I forgot to ask...
What's with Cam Newton??? There are so many stories and stuff I can't keep up. They don't exactly use layman's terms either. So, he went to Florida, and left, and then went to a Jr college, and left for Miss State and now he's at Auburn? Is there a law against that, or am I missing something? He owes like $200 some odd thousand dollars or something? What's with that? ~edit~ Jason Garrett is the big man in charge now in Dallas. Wade is gone. I still don't know what to think about that. I'm not sure if Garrett would be any better. I think Jerry Jones should go after Mike Leach.  Yes, I am heart broken, upset, mad enough to set my house on fire on how this season is going for the Cowboys. I never dreamed they would be this deep in their own junk. I can't believe it! The season is over. :tears: Last edited by Jackrabbit379; 11-10-2010 at 06:09 PM.
