i wonder how many arrow drivers are gonna stay until arrow closes the doors, and then cry because they can't find a job fast enough to pay the bills. wake up people, it's clear as day that arrow's days are numbered

Well, had a great 10 days off. Picked up a load Monday from Santa Maria, Ca. and going to Groves, Tx. With D/H miles it is 2000mi. Good load. Delivers Friday morn. Hopefully I won't sit in Houston terminal all weekend but that may be a miracle. Got all my layover pay on this last check. Trying to find out when the quarterly safety bonus is paid. Got everyone so far:clap: New DM seems to be okay. Told the wife if my miles don't improve the next 4 weeks to at least 2000mi a week I will go elsewhere. Saw some great job offers on Craigslist both in trucking and out. The "out" is door and window sales. I installed doors and windows for 23 years prior to driving 20 months ago. Drive and be safe.

I cannot believe what they are doing. They were putting in t/s mags that they were looking 200 o/o and they changed their pay to %70 which I thought may be more appealing to some o/o drivers. Now they are getting rid of them?!! Do you have to sit for one day or two for free now and then get $25 dollars for each day of layover? When I worked for them it was first 24 hours free, then get paid for each 24 hours after that, but they told me they were changing it. Last edited by married to the road; 08-09-2009 at 03:04 AM.

there must have been a dozen empty Arrow trucks sitting at the Barkeyville TA a few weeks ago... you guys can have my Pete, it's parked over by the scale most weekends.
go to TMC, at least you can look good while making no money.

No load for the weekend. D/H me 100 miles to the Houston terminal. The miles will be more then the layover. Arrow's layover policy is the first 24 hours are free. Then it's $25 for every 24 hour period. 23 hours is no pay. Made 2000 miles for the week. This is great compared to a lot of other Arrow drivers. I wish I had more positive things to say about Arrow. If I quit Arrow I will go regional or local out of L.A. I am also looking at a dedicated run from L.A. to Kentucky. Monday to Thursday and off for the weekend but as you can tell it's a team operation. $850 a week though. The guy hiring was adamant that the team members must approve of each other after a meeting and talking. Drive and be safe. Haven't heard from Dewercs2 in a while. Are you still out there?

Found out today Arrow is no longer paying a safety bonus. This was $250 a quarter. No money to pay for it. I got a load of pipe Monday morn heading to Rock Springs, Wy. Good load. Delivers Thursday morn. Good chance not sitting another weekend.
