What turned you away wizer. I think the only problem I could see with this is the mileage rate is pretty low and I can see someone sitting on the dock waiting to get loaded for hours. If they can get you 25 to 28 hundred miles a week it seems you can do pretty well with them but what did you hear from them that turned you off. I am going to talk to a recruiter but I want to know all I can learn before I make a choice. I have flatbedded up until now with some reefer work but not grocery. I have heard a lot of bad about grocery, lots of waiting and dock people treating you like poop. I can handle that but what specifically was the problem that caused you to say no?

I dont know a lot about them, but they advertised in the Truckpaper about getting home 3 or 4 times a week, and when I talked to them, they can get me home on the weekends. I have that now, and I was just looking for something to get me home more, family time. I would call and talk to Paul Brown, he seemed pretty straight with me. I hope this helps.

We run for them sometimes when it gets light around here.
1) no, it's not completely all drop and hook. It's about 50-50. When you do have to live unload, it's pretty quick. Sysco is their main customer out of front royal and thus brisk trucks get 1st priority over any other carrier. 2) Yes, you will run empty quite a bit. When loaded expect to be close to 80,000. 3) It seems like it's mostly running hard at night to make the early am deliveries. 4) their trailers are in great shape. Most of the O/O's i see are pretty happy (if it's possible for an O/O to be happy) with the program. |
