I spoke to my husband and he is already pulling up to Las Vegas

He said he did 700 miles today. He said that when he pulled out on the highway he knew there would not really be anywhere to stop so he decided he would just go for it.

The load will be there at 9:00 am sharp. I am hoping he is routed out tomorrow shortly after he is unloaded as this being a holiday weekend the traffic going out of Vegas on Monday will be ugly and would not want to be caught in that.

Better tell him to find a nice place to park. You are going to be hard pressed to find a load out on a holiday weekend, unless they have a drop yard.

 

I hope he isn't having trouble finding a spot as he has not called me back yet and told me once he got parked he would give me a call! :sad:

So am I. For some reason I like reading this thread.

 

Well im home for awhile, my gramps is in the hospital so im taking a leave. When i go back i think im goin on thier pheonix loop, which is from LA to Pheonix and back so i can be home on the weekends or every other day. They have an I-5 loop and another loop that takes you from hermisten, OR to Utah or colorado to Vegas to LA back up to OR.

 

I am sorry to hear about your grandfather. How long of a leave are you going to be taking? If you go on the loop will you still get paid by the mile?

Did you turn in your truck or are you just taking a short leave?

I hope all goes well for your grandfather. May Trucking is a good company that will work with you.
