You should look at what happened to your hubby as a blessing, most crappy dispatchers usually wait a couple of weeks then gradually start treating the driver like crap. I have drove for two companies and I had a bad dispatcher w/each co. it truly sounds like his lady disp. had her butt in a sling and she was using your hubby to get out of it plus she went home and didn't leave any directives w/night dispatch or your hubby Totally Irresponsible on her part she probably never asked, truly thanked or appoligized to your hubby. your hubby has to TELL may to assign him a new dispatcher now, and don't back down or take the crap. You may want to post this predictment under experienced drivers. I believe there answers will be similiar. good luck and be safe.
The temporary dispatcher OSL that my husband had was very nice. I only hope that he likes his new emanate dispatcher as much.

I could just imagine this gal on the other end of the line saying, "Oh, just stay there tonight and call your dispatcher in the morning." As if! Take care.

I am glad that you convinced him not to quit. I hope everything gets straightened out on Monday.

What type of miles did he get in? Is he getting good miles?

Before you choose what type of truck you would like maybe you should check out the cab area in the 378 or 379s of the pete.

My husband is fine with his but the cab sleeper is very small. He likes driving the truck and eventually will put in a request for a 387 which is a roomier sleeping area.

Keep us informed of the Layton orientation and how thing go out of there for you!

Best of luck on Monday!

Yesterday my husband was at the Brooks terminal. He borrowed one of the mini-vans there to go shopping at Walmart. They have about five vans for the drivers to borrow. He spoke to his OSL/dispatch and she told him to ask the garage if they could get him in for his maintenance on the truck. They got him in.

She assigned him to a permanent OSL/Dispatch today. So we hope that everything goes as well with his new OSL. She sent him a Welcome to the team message on his qualcom.

Then my husband left in the afternoon. Tonight he is in Lost Hills, California and tomorrow he will pull into Phoenix with his load that is due 5:00 a.m. Monday morning.

He said he has 0 complaints about the company and the way he has been treated since he has been there. I only hope with his new OSL it stays the same or gets even better!

You are out of the Phoenix Terminal aren't you? How have those people been treating you? Are they going to give you the loop? Have they been polite and courteous to you?

My husband made his drop this morning then was assigned to another load from Phoenix to Bakersfeild California about 500 miles.

The pickup was only a short distance but when he got to the shippers they could not find the trailer  They have been attempting to track the trailer for a couple of hours!

My husbands OSL said that she has never had this happen to her before!

I hope they find the trailer!

Icemans Wife

Let us know how your husband is doing today. If his OSL handled the situation that occurred over the weekend.

Is his OSL out of Phoenix or Brooks?
Is he getting good miles?

I hope it all works out for you guys!
