My husband drove 564 miles again today. He stopped in Penalton and his trainer will drive to the drop probably this evening. They will make their drop tomorrow in Saint Helens Oregon then go to Brooks Oregon and take the truck in for maintenance.
Depending on how long it takes for maintenance they will get their next load assignment and head out tomorrow if possible. Goin Fer It's Wife

Good times. :P Yep he has already been from one side of the coast to another! Next big thing will be when he gets his own truck! We are still waiting for that one! He likes what he is doing and that is good! Goin Fer It's Wife

Sunday they took the truck in the shop and the company let my husband take the van to Walmart to do shopping. My husband did his clothes at the Brooks terminal and cleaned up.
Well Monday was a bummer as they had the truck in the shop. The shop to long and they gave the load to Denver and then Louisiana to another driver. Then they waited for a load and they were told to take a load about three hundred miles away in Oregon. The shipper said they could pick it up early it was about 30 miles away from the Brooks so they left and when they got there to pick up the load they said it was not ready and would not be ready until 7 am . Tuesday August 8th My husband and his trainer had to wait for a few hours to get loaded this morning they finally got loaded and then my husband drove the three hundred miles to the next stop. At this point they do not know where they will go next. My husbands trainer wants to go home for a few days in Louisiana as he has been out for five weeks. While I can understand his trainer wanting to get home it is still a bummer as this will slow down the trainer time for my husband. We are very anxious to get out of this phase. I only hope that this short of driving time in two days is a rarity and does not occur with this frequency on a regular basis. Only time will tell. We really do hope that May Trucking does have the miles. Goin Fer It's Wife

Yesterday my husband drove 379 miles. They were routed to New Jersey.
But today they are going to swap with a driver in Wyoming and take a load to Denver then to Louisiana (for the trainers home-time). My husband said most of the delay for the three days was because of the waiting for the truck. Goin Fer It's Wife

the miles are there with the dry side, we got 3000 miles this week. Ive been out for a week and today i got stoped at banning, CA for an inspection. The truck is an 07 387 peterbilt with 40,000 miles on it and it has a small exhaust leak, but the dot officer just gave me a verbal since im new, how nice haha. havent had too many problems with May, they have there ducks in a row for the most part. I do know if you get out to utah or idaho with dry freight youll be stuck for a while since they have nothing coming out of there, youll have 14 trucks sitting waiting for a load or they will run you a 100 miles empty to get a load. my friend has been stuck out there for 3 days now.

My husband has been in Louisiana since Friday they are now at the trainers house. Really great news is that the trainer said that after Tuesday (they have a load to drop) he is going to ask to be routed back up to Brooks Oregon so that my husband can be tested to get his own truck.
So hopefully they will get routed up there. My husband cannot believe some of the horror stories about some of the trainers that I have told him about reading on this board as of late. His trainer is nice even treated him to his first shower. He said he was really cool about it when he made his mistakes the first day or so. Goin Fer It's Wife |
