The problem with having a hazmat witch i do. Most companies will have the trailers locked with bolt they hate taking it off like Kodak.. i can not tell you the fights i have had with them.. Every time it was an illegal load make sure you know what your allowed to carry and amounts your insured for through your company..

At a dot inspection they do not care and the ticket is huge now. best make sure to read and know what the heck your doing.. it can mean your CDL and jail time as well as a large fine if its really bad and some people and compaines do not care.....

just a thought make sure to get some training the DOT has a real good class it takes a week and will give you a ton of good information. 8)

My solution: if I don't get to inspect the load and secure it properly, it ain't leaving the lot connected to my truck. There's not even a fight. I'll just give them back the paperwork, tell them good day, and message my fleet manager and either wait for them to straighten it out or to give me another load.

I get paid to move freight. I don't get paid to argue with customers.

Well when I trained with Prime I lived in FL and still do. They gave me a temp address in MO so I could pass my exam and road test in MO. As soon as I got my CDL (MO license) and I went back to FL I went to DMV and changed the MO license to a FL license. Never had a problem.
