The one I have could freeze the entire fridge easily if you set it too cold.

So if it uses 2 amps... You don't worry about your batteries leaving the truck off overnight with the fridge running, but you wouldn't leave the fridge running over the weekend? (I'm thinking 2 amps really means 2 amps/hr which can add up over a weekend)

i have a tripac i'm not worried about that. i'd still turn it off while out of the truck. why burn fuel if i dont have to?

I'd be home 2-3 days and wouldn't shut it off. It was very rare that I did. I'm very very hard on batteries, and change them every 18-24 months.
