Default 98 Century AutoShift problem (Code 51 and 52)

Please help if you can. I have a 98 Century with a 10 sp Eaton Fuller autoshift.

Today we replaced the x-y shifter and the transmission still will not shift properly.

I had a "-" on my gear dislpay as well as a blinking service light. I diagnosed the codes to 51 and 52. Had my mechanic come and get the truck and I'm where I'm at now. Could it be the ECU wiring harness?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you

For the 51 & 52; were your resistance checks all in spec? Were your continuity to ground checks ok? Did you measure these circuits at the ECU connector first? These tests should verify that your harness and sensors are ok.

Good morning Bob. I'm not sure if the mechanic did this procedure. However, I have printed the info out and will bring it to him. My mechanic (Joe Guthrie/ Guthrie's Fleet Service) has 30 years experience, however this Eaton autoshift is new to him.
I do have to say this, He hooked his diagnostic computer to mine and it supposedly "fried" his.
More as the day gone..............

Thumbs up

It was wiring harness not hooked up properly after the XY shifter was placed in. Supposedly I 'm good to go and am headed to pick up my truck now.
