Default air bags ride height

I have an older log trailer of which the air suspension has been giving me trouble....it was riding too low.... losing her air then regaining it... that problem is fixed , it turns out one air bag was leaking on the seam on the bottom of the bag and only leaked in certain positions...... first question does it hurt the air bags or suspension running it too low?
Now that it is operating properly i'm wondering if i have the trailer too high? the hendireson suspension bags seem fully extended....not completely but very close.. i like the trailer riding in that position because the tri axcel has good clearance when it is lifted for turning....i wondering if the bags extended so far caused the bag to leak at the seam...... it was an older bag but i have another one that has a similar slice at the seam but isn't leaking yet..... any advice thanks

I would think you could find the proper ride height from the manufacturer.

Too low could bend the pedestal the bags sit on... I've broke those before (off road hauling)

Too high could tear the bags by over extending them from a bounce. I've seen chain used to limit the travel.

All ride heights are different.

Neway Intraxx 4 bag is 14.5 inches from the center of the axle to the crossmember

My early style 8 bag KW is 8" bottom of air bag base to frame.

Lots of different combinations of where to measure and how much, you must contact the manufacturer.
