Default Air brake anti freeze

You have to put it in your air tank, the wet tank. Just pull out the bung bolt off the top and pour a quart in, with glad hands, I like to use a top from a bottle of dish soap, sprayinwash, or something like that type of squirt bottle, Gatorade ? Whatever... If it's your trailer, pull the plug and just dump a bottle in the air tank. some of those bottle caps fit the air brake bottles. Just trying to help

I've seen guys pour half a litre of that stuff into the red gladhand. Turns out theres just ice on the mechanism. Just because a brake wont release, that doesn't mean it needs alcohol.

Oh, I know, I've been dealing with froze up brakes for 3 weeks, too much snow! I have had good luck with the " 100 lb" application on and off method Every morning I have a couple wheels froze. Gotta get a look before you go! OR you will look stupid with flat spots. Expensive too.

I agree - a little tap with a hammer will do wonders.

Banging thecrap out of your dust covers... if you have buds... It's hard to hit the drums. WARM your brakes up before you park, don't set your trailer brakes. duh

alcohol destroys air brake valve seals... as does methyl hydrate, that's why you should only use real air brake anti-freeze.

Warming the brakes before parking can cause condensation to form on the surface of the drum... freezing the shoe lining to the drum; that's why striking the drum will let the brakes release. Try letting the brakes cool before applying the park brake... see if that stops the freezing.
