Anyone Use A Davco fuel filter system?
Checked out the Website and remembered when I drove a Ryder Leased Truck that every truck they had I drove had this on them.
What is your advice on this, have you ever had one, if so did you, or do you like it, and what is the cost? Thanks

I have the Davco 382 on my '06 Intl 9400i with a Cummins ISX. It is the first stage filter in the two filter Cummins setup. I like it a lot. This makes the 2nd time I have had one. It has the heater option for cold weather. It is nice to see how the filter is doing and I don't have to change the filter frequently to avoid a plugged filter. Just watch the fuel level in the glass and change it out when it gets near the top. A painless easy process to change the filter out.
It is advisable to get the special filter wrench for removing the band that secures the glass bowl. They tend to "snug" up over time. I got a couple of these wrenches (one for a spare since I tend to loose things) online from Ryder Fleet Products and they only cost about $8 or $9 each as best I recall. Overall, the system a good investment.

Several years ago, Detroit Diesel offered to increase your fuel injector warranty from 1 year to 3 years... if the engine was equipped with a fuel pro. Obviously, a good choice imo. When changing filter brands, be wary of nominal and absolute micron ratings... that's why I usually recommend oem.

There was one on my truck when I bought it in '99 I think it says pro check. my injectors last ed over 1.1 mil before one going out.

We just installed one on a Mack. Fluid heated version, shop cost was about $260 filters about $5. Excellent system and won't break you for filters either
