In a hard pull I can pin the gauge, but it usually is around 60 PSI

so... whos boost gage is going over 80psi??

I'm from Ontario, Canada and we have a law that says all Class 8 trucks must be governed at ... 65 MPH. But I am pulling a dry van with 26,000 lbs in the box from Guelph, ON to North Carolina right now. I went over those steep long hills on i-76 east of Pittsburgh, PA without shifting while keeping an eye on the boost gauge. I had the cruise control set at 1,400 RPM (61 MPH with my 3:73 rears and LP 295 tires). The maximum reading I got was 42, which I understand isn't half bad.

I have Autometer gauges as well the C2 100 psi boost gauge less than $100 and then got another boost that is also a vac. gauge that is setup for the air cleaners to monitor vac pull on them and there pyro kit which is well worth the $199.
You get the wiring and probe kit for it and it's a 2 1/16" gauge so it fits factory gauge holes the pyro goes to 2000*f.If I hit that I think we have a problem.
I plan on picking up a fuel pressure gauge next.

You have a check valve on the vacuum gauge so it doesn't see boost right?

It does not see any boost I took out the filter minder that came with the truck that is on the alum. air tubes coming in from the air cleaners after the 2 meet and installed it there. It will only pull vac. when there is a restriction in the filters.
I never liked those filter minders because half the time they don't work.

Ah! Yeah didn't think about that. I'm still used to gas turbocharged engines.

gas turbocharged engines still do not have boost on the inlet side of the turbo; his vacuum gauge is for air inlet restriction.

I'm well aware of that... You install a vacuum gauge on the vacuum side of the throttle plate on a gas engine which will also see boost if boost is present.
