Default dpf exhaust chamber

anyone know if the exhaust chamber end of the dpf is just a hollow chamber or is there something welded to the inside. On my prostar the outlet end is clamped on to the main filter housing. If its just an empty hollow chamber, I might weld another outlet to it and add another exhaust stack. Im customizing my truck and about all I have left to do is add 2 8" stacks but I really dont want the left one to be a dummy stack. Also I need to custom make the stacks because of the high heat and turning them blue.

It's almost hollow, it has a tube with holes. The center section is all DPF, the front section has a smaller portion of DPF. This is a first for me, I'll try adding a picture.

Thanks for the response and pic. Looks like it would be no problem to weld another outlet to the end chamber. A new chamber with 2 outlets from the factory is 750 bucks. Now I need to check with Navistar to see if a modification will void a warranty. My guess is it will, even tho it wont change how the dpf functions at all, unless a change like this would affect backpressure. Tricky stuff when your messin with emissions .
