remove both fuel return lines and place each in its own 5 gal pail. start and run the engine and watch the level in the pails ; do they fill up evenly? or, is one slower then the other?

if they fill evenly, the problem is likely tank venting

if one fills slower than the other, re-install the return lines, and then remove the suction lines and place them in the pails that you just filled (make the levels even before you start the engine)

start the engine, if one side empties slower, then that pick-up tube is blocked/restricted (not cracked or broken). try blowing air through it in the wrong direction to clear it
that is a great idea, but i don't they will do this. They are big on the quick, cheap fixes. The said they fixed it (cross my fingers) but that will be my next method

have they replaced the return valve??

Looked under both my T-600's today after reading this post. The suction lines thread into a fitting that appears to be welded into the side of the tanks. Guess one would have to cut them out and weld them back in to replace? I mean the pickup tubes.

Had this problem on a '98 T800. One of the vent tubes (rubber hose coming from the top of each tank)was clogged full of dirt.
