You might notice a slight drop in power; probably not. No real problems.

The only thing I've ever read on altitude is in the owner's manual for my '03 CAT C15 it said that the engine shouldn't be operated above 10k feet above sea level (although we did regularly run I-70 west of Denver which IS above 10k feet for a few miles). Unless you are crossing Eisenhower Pass on I-70, you will never be above 10k feet on any interstate in the US (that I know of, anyway).

If that 8.2 is turbo charged you will notice a decrease in power depending on what your pulling, if it's naturally aspirated and your heavy your gonna notice a big drop in power and most likely more black smoke than usual. Just be easy on the pedal and take your time and watch your engine temperature, it can sky rocket in no time.
