Rick, I get mine done at Blackstone Labs in FT Wayne, IN. Just take a sample myself with their pump kit (this way I KNOW it wasn't contaminated casue I did it) and mail it to them. Get an email about 2 days later with the report and a hard copy a few more days later. They give all the data, PLUS list out the current sample, several previous samples and your running average from all the samples........ AND they give a personal specific description of what is going on with your engine and oil - basically the tech breaks the data down into "plain english" for you. VERY NICE service.

First one with numbers were done 9/21/07 and not sure how many miles were on oil (prior to me buying the truck)

Second set of numbers were mine with 8,000 miles since oil change with Mobil Delvac.

Should I change it at 10,000 miles or go to 15,000 miles??

Not only that, but you can talk to them on the phone and they offer suggestions and advice.

Been using Blackstone for around 10 years, won't go anywhere else

you really need to have multiple tests to evaluate what's going on inside as far as bearing wear and history of oil viscosity and breakdown.
