Radiator with green waterfall....
I was driving down 75 South today in Georgia and steam was pouring out from under my hood. I stopped and noticed antifreeze pouring out of the side of the radiator. I thought I'd try to make it to the truck stop at the 296. Well, I made it...and I've got a big crack in the casing. So I called a place in Douglas, Ga and they priced me a radiator with metal tanks for $635...I've got an Internatioal with a CAT...is that a good price???
The T.A. wanted to charge me $2800 so I'm thinking it's a good deal...my mechanic is on his way now to go get it, just wondering if that is a decent price for a radiator, as I've never had to buy one.

Sounds good, Make sure they give you a warranty with it, most OEM radiators with plastic tanks start at $1000.

Might as well change the CAC while your at it, if it hasn't been changed in a while.
Another thing, put in red extended life coolant. Chevron delo is just about the best, 750,000 miles. Get rid of that green junk.

Well, I ended up just getting new tanks put on my Radiator..and they cleaned it out as well. We filled it back up with fresh coolant and it's doing good.....

Those plastic tanks don't seem to last very long. I don't think that they are strong enough for the stress of a big truck. A friend of mine just replaced his entire radiator with an all metal one.
