Yes, that would be a good idea, if you didn't yet. That's exactly as it sounds, and it's an easy task anyway, before you go any farther.

How do I know if the ride hight is set properly?

I guess it depends on a truck. On my Volvo(White), i believe it was 8" from a frame to mid axle. KW i think it just should be on a level...Ask your dealer, they should know for sure....

Check the exhaust system, if it rubbing on something it will vibrate like hell.

Bull gear is in the front, I believe, but I'm not a Detroit man...........only got experience with yellow motors.

I searched Detroit engine codes, but not one of my codes showed up on the lists.
