Got it done
Hooked up the master cylinder. stood on the engine with the slave, and bled it there. Worked pretty good! except they gave me the wrong slave and I had to do some engineering. Damn clutch feels like a honda clutch now! Has NEVER felt so good!

Has NEVER felt so good! what happened to the slave... leaks? if you have a vaccuum brake bleeder, you can pull fluid up into the master cylinder through the slave

The slave was hanging up, and my clutch pedal was "loose" for half the travel. Thank god it didn't hang lower, otherwise my clutch would've roasted!
They regularly go on volvos, I changed both cylinders. I just held the slave high while standing on the engine, and bled it that way. Worked very well. The guy from volvo recommended getting a washer pump and pushing it up like you mentioned. Sometimes I like doing things the hard way :P Problem is, it still feels funny! I was expecting a honda-like hydraulic clutch. You can still feel it sorta binding, maybe it needs lube under the dash somewhere. |
