Nationwide trucking company is hiring local CDL A drivers within 45 miles of Gordonville, VA to service one of its nationwide retail accounts. Become a dedicated driver and start enjoying consistent freight and job security making deliveries for a single customer.

Compensation

• Average annual salary $70,000 - $80,000 per year, which includes:
• Activity-based pay (mileage, stops, etc.).
• Yearly pay increases.
• Pay incentives for hard runners.
• Typical work week is 50-60 hours per week.
• Paid orientation and training.
• $1,000 sign-on Bonus: $500 paid after 1st load, $500 paid after 30 days
• Weekly paychecks.

Work Schedule

• 5-day work week, off 2-days per week.
• Several routes to choose from (some weekends off schedules available).
• Start times typically between noon-midnight, depending on route chosen.
• Local routes, approximately 3-10 stops per day.
• Home daily, no overnights.
• No touch freight! Drop & hook or live unload dock deliveries, customer unload.
• Deliver to Wal-Mart store locations in VA, NC, MD, PA, and WV.
• Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule and/or customer locations.
• Truck must be parked at Gordonsville, VA location.

Responsibilities

• Drive CDL trucks to transport products to specific route destinations.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have 12 months of verifiable CDL A tractor-trailer experience.
• No restrictions acceptable.
• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement.
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
• Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
