Company has been in business since 1982 providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users. Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery Drivers to work in our distribution warehouse within 30 miles of Whitestown, IN.

Compensation

Average annual salary $85,000-$95,000 per year which includes:

• Hourly wage of $28.00 per hour
• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid $1,250 per quarter
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
• Typical work week is 48-55 hours per week

Work Schedule

• 4-6 day work weeks
• Weekends and some Holidays included but off at least 2 weekends per month
• Work week starts Sunday night. Off every Saturday night and one other night during the week
• Start times vary, typically 7pm-10pm; work until work is completed, usually 10-12 hours per day
• No layovers, home every day
• Make 3-7 stops per day

Responsibilities

• Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart
• Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to Chipotle restaurants
• Drive CDL A day cabs with 36'- 42' pup trailers to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
• Secure pallets using straps. Strap and unstrap at each delivery.
• Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
• Use of keys, alarm codes, tablets, etc. for overnight deliveries
• Provide excellent customer service
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers

Requirements

• New CDL graduates encourage to apply! No CDL experience necessary
• Prior local route delivery experience highly preferred
• Local, multiple-stop delivery using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack
• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement.
• Familiar with Samsara systems a plus but will train
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
• Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
