Due to continued growth we are searching for Local Truck Driver CDL A Tanker Driver to live within 45 miles of East Chicago, IL.

Compensation

Average annual salary approximately $118,000 per year which includes:

• Combination of hourly and activity-based pay
• Typical work week is 60-70 hours
• Annual salary increases based on performance
• Bi-weekly paychecks

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday; some weekends included; possibility of an occasional overnights
• Start times vary, typically around 3am-5am,depending on routes (deliveries made between 7am-3pm)
• Tanker and Hazmat deliveries
• Make 1-5 stops per day
• Coverage area is 260 miles radius from terminal in East Chicago, IN.
• Must be flexible with work schedule and route assignments.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and unloading water treatment chemicals using a tanker
• Drive CDL trucks to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
• Provide excellent customer service
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on trucks and/or equipment

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with tanker, hazmat and air brakes endorsement.
• Minimum of 3 years of CDL A driving experience.
• Must have tanker and hazmat endorsement.
• Tanker experience is required.
• Experience hauling hazmat chemicals preferred.
• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical.
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S..
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
• Be able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds with no assistance.
