Job Overview: We’re seeking a dedicated driver to join our Dollar Tree Team in Joliet, IL. As a driver, you’ll deliver 100% touch freight to Dollar Tree stores across IL, WI, IN, and MI. This is a physically demanding but financially rewarding position. You'll be home weekly for a 34-hour reset, though we cannot guarantee weekends off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely deliver 100% touch freight to various Dollar Tree stores.
• Perform manual unloading and manage freight to avoid accidents.
• Provide excellent customer service during store deliveries.
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations during unloading and transport.

Schedule & Home Time:

• Home Weekly: You’ll receive a 34-hour reset weekly, but we cannot guarantee weekends. Reset days will be based on delivery schedules near your home.
• Availability: Must be available from Sunday through Saturday, with a more defined schedule once assigned to the account.

Compensation Details:

• Competitive Pay: Drivers can expect to earn $1,400 - $1,600 weekly based on availability and performance.
• Mileage Pay:Based on verified experience:
  • 0-11 months: $0.82/mile
  • 12-23 months: $0.83/mile
  • 24-35 months: $0.84/mile
  • 36+ months: $0.85/mile
• Unload Pay: $245 per load
• Stop Pay: $25 per stop
• Backhaul Pay: $70
• Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 (First $500 after the first load, remaining $500 after 30 days of active service)
• Tenured Staff Support: Experienced staff available for guidance and support.
• Vacation Benefits: Earn 1 week of vacation after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years, and up to 4 weeks after 10 years.

Requirements: 
Training & Orientation:

• New hires will attend a 2-day ride-along following a Dollar Tree driver, earning $150 per day. Upon completion of training, you’ll be assigned your tractor.
• Orientation Requirements: Drivers must bring 2 weeks’ worth of supplies to orientation. You’ll be sent directly to Joliet, IL for training once activated.

Equipment:

• Primarily Internationals and Freightliners are used for their superior turning radius, making store deliveries easier.
• Truck Parking: Local drivers must park trucks at either the Markham Terminal or Dollar Tree Joliet DC—no home parking is allowed.
