Job Overview: Join the Meijer dedicated team and enjoy home daily while delivering dry and refrigerated no-touch freight. This position offers consistent routes within OH, KY, and IN, with most locations within 250 miles of the distribution center. You'll be driving an average of 2,000 miles per week and handling a variety of delivery types, including live unloads and drop & hook.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver dry and refrigerated freight to Meijer stores.
• Perform live unloads or drop & hook at Meijer locations.
• Pick up live load or drop & hook backhauls enroute.
• Assist surrounding US Xpress sites as needed, which may involve using an electric pallet jack occasionally.

Schedule & Home Time:

• Home Daily: Return home each day with two days off per week.
• Night Shifts Only: Runs include nights, weekends, and holidays. The week before a holiday is also mandatory.
• Slip-Seat Operation: Use of a newer model day cab truck; drivers must drive their own vehicle to and from the distribution center.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,350 with opportunities to earn more based on performance.
• Backhaul Pay: $51.50 per backhaul.
• Stop Pay: $20 per stop (after the first stop).
• Minimum Pay Guarantee: $45 on routes with lesser mileage.
• Paid Vacation: One week after 1 year, and two weeks after 3 years. Vacation pay is based on the driver’s 52-week average.
• Training Pay: $100 for 1 day of ride-along training.

Payscale Based on Verified Experience:

• 0-5 months: $0.57/mile
• 6-11 months: $0.58/mile
• 12-23 months: $0.59/mile
• and up to $0.65/mile after 84 months

Part-Time Opportunities:

• Flexible Hours: Part-time work available on weekends, with 8-36 hours per week.
• Same-Day Pay: Earn $175 per day for part-time work.
• Part-Time Vacation: Not eligible for vacation pay.
