Production Machine Maintenance Mechanic

Company has been in business for over 60 years providing fresh, organic, cage-free eggs to local grocery stores and other end users. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Production Machine Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production machines within 45 miles of our Woodburn, OR facility.
Compensation
- Average annual salary around $55,000- $65,000 per year, which includes:
- Hourly pay $24.00-$26.00, based on experience
- Overtime paid after 55 hours per week
- Typical work week is 45-50 hours per week

Work Schedule
- Tuesday-Saturday
- Some Holidays may be included, Holiday pay included
- Typical work schedule 7:00am-5:00pm or work until work is completed
- Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs to production maintenance equipment
- Detect malfunctions through observation through sound and/or vision
- Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
- Repair and/or replace broken or faulty machine parts
- Perform emergency repairs that are time-sensitive
- Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
- Align and calibrate machine parts
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Experience with Microsoft applications: Outlook, Excel spreadsheets, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Production Managers regarding maintenance schedule interruptions
- Maintaining and repairing motors, drives, PLC systems, foodservice production equipment: baggers, washers, slicers, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving, trouble-shooting skills, and ability to work independently
- Requires physical stamina and strength, as you’ll have to stand for long hours and occasionally carry heavy loads
- Previous experience as a production maintenance mechanic in food-grade environment or similar role required
- Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical components, and mechanics
- Familiarity using various power and hand tools, such as hosts and grinders
- Experience working around live animals, specifically fowl, a plus but not required
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
- Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
- Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
