Job Overview:

• Hiring Area: 50-mile radius of Gastonia, NC
• Lanes: Deliver to auto parts stores across NC, SC, TN, KY, and VA.
• Miles: Drivers cover 1,700-1,800 miles per week with 3-10 stops per delivery.
• Freight Type: Drivers will use electric pallet jacks to unload at CarQuest stores, with 40 unloads per week.

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay per Mile: $0.46 CPM
• Guaranteed Weekly Minimum: $1,300 (must work full week to qualify, no sick or vacation days)
• Pay Increases: $0.02 per mile every 12 months until reaching a max pay of $0.57 CPM.
• After 1 Year: Drivers earn a guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,500.
• Stop Pay: $30 per stop.
• Delay Pay: $17 per hour for breakdowns (after 2 hours) or office/yard work.
• New Hire Transition Bonus: $500, paid in full on your second paycheck.

Requirements:

• Experience: 12 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• Endorsements: Hazmat endorsement required.
• Other: Must be comfortable with night driving and be available to work the full week to receive the guaranteed minimum pay.

Schedule & Home Time:

• Home Time: Drivers are home daily for the most part, with the potential for 1-2 layovers per week.
• Dispatch Days: Typically Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday with varying start times depending on the weekly route.
• Equipment: Newer Kenworth and Freightliner trucks (2018 and newer), with lift gate trailers. Some routes may require a 53" sleeper for layover routes.

• Parking: On-site at the customer location
• Guaranteed Weekly Pay: Must work a full week to receive guaranteed minimum pay. Drivers taking sick or vacation days do not qualify for the guaranteed minimum.
