Company is the largest metals service center company in North America. Due to continued growth, we are accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL A Flatbed Driver in Arlington, TX.

Compensation

• Hourly wage of $24.45 per hour
• Overtime paid after 8 hours per day
• Typical work week is 45-55 hours per week
• KPA Safety training bonus $250.00 paid Quarterly based on performance.
• Attendance Bonus $250.00 paid Quarterly based on performance.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday;
• Typical work schedule is 6:00 am- 4:00 pm.
• Home daily, no overnights
• No slip-seating; you are assigned your own day cab.
• Deliveries to steel building supplies to commercial retail stores and fab shops
• Flatbed and tarping or a flatbed Conestoga trailers - strap and tarp on rollers.
• Make 8-12 stops per route; routes are consistent. Make deliveries to the similar locations.
• Must be flexible with work schedule and route assignments.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and unloading steel building supplies to commercial retail stores
• Drive CDL trucks to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
• Provide excellent customer service
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on trucks and/or equipment
• Conestoga flatbed trailers - strap and tarp, curtain on rollers

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License, with air brakes endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL A tractor-trailer experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Flatbed tractor-trailer experience is required
• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical.
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S..
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
• Be able to lift, push, pull 75 pounds with no assistance.
