            ?I am very excited to be named Driver of the Year? says Musselman.  ?They?ve been so good to me and I?m glad I?m able to give back to the organization.?

            Musselman who has been with Smith Transport for nine years met all of the criteria for  the award through the year such as being named Driver of the Month delivering loads safely and on time as well as excelling in customer service. 

According to Travis Smith V.P. of Operations at Smith Transport every department in the company is involved in choosing the winner.  ?We review all criteria including fuel compliance production and safety? says Smith.  ?Then we select the top driver from our drivers of the month for 2005.  Brian represents the ?Best of the Best?   We are very proud to have him on our team.?

Musselman says the feeling is mutual.   ?I?ve known [founder and owner] Barry Smith for years.  He?s a great person? says Musselman.  ?My only regret is that I didn?t come to Smith Transport sooner.?

As part of the award Musselman will drive a new 379 Peterbilt decaled with his name and Driver of the Year 2005 a Smith Transport leather jacket a crystal trophy and $1500.
