Granger IA (April XX 2011) Barr-Nunn
Transportation announced this week that they are issuing a pay increase
effective 4/15/11 for all hazmat endorsed company drivers running in the OTR fleets.
New hazmat endorsed OTR drivers will now earn $0.40 per Practical mile
with 1 year of experience and $0.41 per Practical mile with 7 years or more of
experience. New OTR Drivers with the hazmat endorsement living in the
Northeastern states will earn $0.42 per Practical mile with 1 year of experience
and $0.43 per Practical mile with 7 years or more. The news is sure to generate
a buzz with existing hazmat endorsed OTR solo and team drivers as well
because they will see a pay raise on all loads after 4/11/11 and an increased
pay cap.
These new rates are in addition to Barr-Nunn’s industry leading Band
Pay of up to $0.48 per loaded mile. New Team Drivers also have reason to
rejoice-their starting pay will rise to either $0.45 or $0.46 per Practical
mile also depending on experience.
These pay changes mark the third such pay increase in just 90 days for
Barr-Nunn Owner-Operators and Company drivers.
