D&D Sexton Inc. Delivers Donations to Joplin from Stuff the Truck Drive Held in Nashville

CARTHAGE MO – This summer everyone feels like a part of Joplin.  Following the devastating tornado of May 22 volunteers poured in from across the country.  So it was only natural that seven friends all but one former Carthage Missouri residents would feel the tug of volunteerism.

We decided we needed to figure out a way to help from Nashville said Debbie Wallace one of the effort’s organizers.

Their goal of a Stuff the Truck drive was made possible with help from Dean Sexton and the immediate loan of a refrigerated trailer from D & D Sexton Inc. of Carthage.Widely covered by Nashville media within a weekend the group had collected enough donations to fill the trailer unit.  D & D drove the fully-loaded trailer to Joplin delivering the donated supplies to Joplin a community in need. Everything came together so quickly that we were all in shock said Wallace.  She went on to note that the effort wouldn’t have come together without the help of D & D Sexton and others including Kroger on Old Hickory Boulevard Nashville and Edmondson Pike in Brentwood.
