JACOBSON HONORS MILLION-MILE DRIVERS

(June 13 2006 ) Des Moines IA ? On June 1 2006 Jacobson Transportation inducted seven charter members into the ?Million-Mile Club? at a banquet held at the company?s headquarters in Des Moines Iowa.  To qualify for membership a driver must have driven over one million miles under the Jacobson authority without having a chargeable accident.
At the banquet the new members were presented with a trophy and leather jacket to commemorate their accomplishment. Awards were presented by Jacobson Transportation CEO Howard Hein President Steve Bourne Logistics President Kent Jordan and Vice-President of Safety John Briley. Dick Jacobson attended the event as well. The inductees were brought to Des Moines for the banquet accompanied by their spouses. 
?To be associated with seven of the ?best of the best? on the road is truly an honor? said Steve Bourne. ?These individuals these people are true examples of integrity and the Jacobson spirit.?
Each member was also presented with a placard for their truck designating them as a member of this exclusive group signifying to the motoring public that they are among the elite on the road.
?These individuals are deeply engrained into the Jacobson fabric and exemplify what it means to be a loyal representative of the organization as well as a true professional truck driver holding safety in its highest regard? Bourne added.
