JEVIC DRIVER NAMED TO AMERICA?S ROAD TEAM
Driver will represent industry to news media and public
Delanco NJ ? January 31 2005 ? Jevic Transportation Inc. a subsidiary of SCS Transportation (NASDAQ: SCST) announced today that the American Trucking Association (ATA) has chosen long-time Jevic driver Phillip Gould to be one of 13 captains of the 2005-2006 America?s Road Team. Over the course of the next two years this elite group of hand-picked professional drivers will deliver the ATA?s message of highway safety to the news media corporate safety officers Federal and state government representatives and the motoring public.
The Road Team captains are first nominated by their respective companies and then selected for participation by a panel of judges from the trucking industry and trucking media. In addition to possessing an exemplary safety record they must demonstrate knowledge of trucking safety issues superior communication skills and interview abilities and a commitment to community service.

Jevic has already recognized Phil Gould as a high performing individual. He has been a professional truck driver for over 30 years the last 16 of those with Jevic. Based in the Philadelphia PA metro area he has over 2 million miles of safe and accident-free driving and has not missed a scheduled workday since he started with Jevic back in 1988. He has visited schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania as part of the Jevic
Good Neighbor Program and has appeared on local news broadcasts for FOX CBS and Comcast to discuss highway safety issues.
During their two-year terms Road Team Captains will be the public faces of the trucking industry traveling around the country and speaking on behalf of the ATA and their 3 million fellow drivers. One of their many responsibilities will be promoting and taking part in the Share the Road Program a highly successful safety initiative developed by the ATA in co-sponsorship with Mack Trucks. The Road Team captains will visit cities across the nation to educate the public about how to share the road safely with tractor-trailers and reduce the risk of car-truck accidents.
