(December 9 2005) Fort Dodge IA ?  Randy Spencer of Tool Tx. has been named October Driver of the Month by Smithway Motor Xpress (SMX) for his excellent service. Spencer a flatbed owner operator has been with SMX since October of 1999.

            With 18 years of driving to his credit Spencer has hauled a wide variety of freight. ?I remember one load of 15-foot-wide tank heads for propane tanks I hauled? he said.  ?I had to go through Baton Rough La. with two police escorts.  But the best part was I got to run every red light.?
            Off the road Spencer enjoys listening to rock-and-roll music eating a good burger fishing and deer hunting.  Mostly he says he enjoys time with his daughter Kali.
