On the other hand, the Pope John Paul ain't resurected yet, so I guess that blows there Idea out of the water.. Unless it is supposed to be around passover or at the end of the month.

Considering the number of Bible prophecy references to earthquakes and fire it is likely that both will come from volcanoes and the use of nuclear weapons.

Ezekiel 38:18-20 (New International Version)

18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.

Matthew 24:6-8 (New International Version)

6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Luke 21:10-11 (New International Version)

10Then he said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Revelation 6:12-13 (New International Version)

12I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, 13and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.

Revelation 8:4-5 (New International Version)

4The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel's hand. 5Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

Revelation 11:12-14 (New International Version)

12Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

13At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon.

Revelation 11:18-19 (New International Version)

18The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your saints and those who reverence your name,
both small and great—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth."

19Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

Revelation 16:17-19 (New International Version)

17The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!" 18Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.

If an Asteroid or Comet hit Earth would it cause an ELE (Extinction Level Event)? Earthquakes and fire is posible from asteroid and comets.

Completely depends on the size. A huge one could definitely wipe out all life on earth. But it would be very possible and likely even probable, according to prophecy, that a good sized one could hit and put enough debris into the atmosphere to cut the light by a third and poison the waters.

Just this one so far for this subject!!

Behold the False Prophet? Blair to devote rest of his life to religion and interfaith dialogue, creation of global faith foundation

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au...-26040,00.html

Former British prime minister Tony Blair says the promotion of interfaith dialogue is "the rest of my life's work".

Speaking to The Times, Mr Blair said he had focused his efforts on religion because, along with his own personal interest in the subject, combating climate change and eradicating poverty - both also interests of his - were "well-trodden ground".

Mr Blair, who converted to Catholicism in December, was Britain's premier from 1997 to last June, and has since become a Middle East peace envoy, is heading a team of experts charged with securing a deal to combat climate change, and is hoping to turn his Tony Blair Faith Foundation into a "global foundation".

"People will think this is a piece of spin but, I've always been as interested in religion as politics," Mr Blair told the British daily.

"I see this over time as the rest of my life's work."

"I think that the areas to do with climate change and Make Poverty History, where there's a well-trodden piece of ground there, and actually I have interest in both of those things.

But in respect of faith, there is a burgeoning interest in it now."

Of his foundation, Mr Blair said the aim was not to throw "all the faiths in a doctrinal melting pot and coming out with the world religion as it were, that's not what it's about".

"At the moment, you've still got really quite profound struggle going on about whether religion is going to be taken over by those who do not regard even the thought of an encounter with those of another faith as a good thing.

On the contrary, they regard it as a betrayal of their faith."

Saudi Interfaith Summit Faces Challenges
King's Ambitious Plan, However, Elicits Some Prompt and Vocal Support at Home, Abroad

By Caryle Murphy
Religion News Service

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- A group of visiting Japanese scholars was making a routine courtesy call recently on King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz when the monarch raised a subject that, as he put it, had "obsessed me since two years ago."

Distressed by what he described as disintegrating family ties, a rise in atheism and "an imbalance of reason, ethics and humanity," the king announced plans for a new interfaith dialogue in which "believers of the three main religions -- the Torah, Bible and Koran -- will be of priority."

In other words, Jews, Christians and Muslims.
Funny that not only do we have world leaders discussing interfaith discussions........but that their reasons why seems to be the same..........because of the perception of a breakdown in society. Yet Jesus told us this would happen 2000 years ago.

Matthew 24:12 (NIV)

12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
Does an imbalance of reason, ethics, and humanity not sound very close if not exactly like love growing cold?

If the quotes are messed up it is becuase I didn't want to mess with it. So I will be in red.

I am not so sure I believe it is blair. But I do find it interesting how out of his whole career, he now goes for the presedency of European union.. and this..

I cant help but wonder if maybe just maybe, the Anti-Christ will be a Alien.
Who knows? But what I do find interesting is that the beast out of the bottomeless pit, both are in the forms of Cheribum Angels.. Remember when we first started this thread?
2 beast Apolyon and Abbadon, which means distroyer's. and in the beginning of Eziekiel and Revelations we see 4 Cheribum Angels befor the throne of God. There names are BEAST.. When Lucifer fell a 3rd of the Angels fell with him, so a 3rd +4=6 so at one time 6 beast where befor the throne.. The hebrew and greek words are the same, in the description of the beast falllen and not fallen..
The reason I say Alien, well Eziekiel describes these things as a wheel within a wheel, and where the Spirit wants to go the wheel goes.. and to me he seems to describe a space ship of some kind, or somethings to move these spirits.. Just a thought, and is not written in stone.. just somethin I cant' see to pass up, or over look.. Exspecial with all the UFO sightings, and the Indigo Children here and in the present.

Slim,

I agree with you about Blair. In fact, I would be hesitant to put the AC title on anyone in the highlight of the public eye at this time. Maybe someone on the fringes. My best guess would be that the AC is still being restrained as discussed by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2.

As far as Ezekiel you have the advantage on me. I am no where near as versed in the OT as you are. However, I have heard of that passage about the wheel. And heard from more than one Preacher that it is a clear explaination/proof of aliens. From what I have reviewed you could also infer the same from Matthew 24:29, Mark 13:25, and especially Luke 21:25.

Will the AC be an alien....well that is an interesting thought....and maybe a way that the AC will explain himself and the miracles he will do. But then again scripture tells us that we are aliens/travelers in a foreign land. Is that something to be taken literally? Ok, we are getting into George Noory and Coast to Coast AM territory here. Got to admit however, I like to listen to that radio show when I am driving.

What is interesting about the original subject we started here is the ever increasing call for interfaith cooperation and even recognition. For hundreds of years man has been fighting man about many things including religious belief. But now, at this moment in time you are hearing more about the faiths trying to reconcile than anytime before. Interesting times!
