I've seen that twice in the last year, and I know a guy who did it for his young kid.

Funny thing is, he got hassled for it at a weigh station. They pulled him around, and asked to see his BOL...he obviously said there was none, and the DOT cop actually told him to get out a blank form and write one out; from himself to himself. Supposedly, it's illegal if he doesn't have the proper papework.....

Tom. Did this happen before, or after the ping pong balls had settled on top of the scalehouse?

I've heard of people having problems with DOT, and other drivers often warn me.

Scalemaster in WY once asked how I had it tied down.
I said "Pure magic."
She laughed good.

Default Freight

When I was pulling flat for JB Hunt, there was a driver out of the Hueytown teminal that had a Tonka truck he'd tie down on his wagon with a two inch strap when he was empty. Don't know that he ever got hassled by LEOs. The video may be original but the concept isn't. BOL

Y'all quit twistin' yur d@mn straps!

Only mildly related: "I wish I had a video Department"

Skateboard flew by me sb I35 OK, runnin' empty, but here was this 3' long stuffed Rabbit -- had long enough 'arms' on it that the Driver had wropped'em around the base o his SQualcomm dome centerline above the back o the sleeper -
And goin' down the road at speed, between the football shaped head and the 18"+ long ears... the Head's weavin' side to side.. the Ears are straight back in the wind and flappin'.. and the body/ legs are just a'sailin' along behind it all...
It was perfect. Rabbit hangin' on for Dear Life or Cheap Thrills...
Man I wish I had a video of it. Some things are cuter than cute.
Said his kids did it, but I know better... It was done for the kids. Including this old one.
