Logging and time zones
When you do your logs, do you always do it from the same time zone? Seems like a good idea to put EST (or whatever) on the log just to be sure.
OTOH if stopped by DOT and tight on hours perhaps you could abuse the changing time zones for your advantage to get more hours?

You log the time zone that you are based out of - is the simple answer.

You use the time zone that your terminal is in. Do not adjust the time based on what time zone you are currently in. That wouldnt make much sense. Think about it.

When you have your logs checked by the "DOT" they look at number of hours spent on each line and to make sure you have filled in all information required and are logged up to your last change of duty. They could care less what time zone you are logging in or what time this, that, or the other happened.

Logs (Time Zones)
You work for a company, do your logs the way their safety bubbas tell ya', including time zone used. Their the ones who get fined along with you if the logs are incorrect. "School" doesn't count after you've left. BOL

I bought one of those small digital clocks from walmart ($3.00) and put it on the dash and set it to the home terminal time. That way I know what time I can put in me comic book.
